As team Rozemeijer we know the power of a good shad and we decided a few years ago to come to the market with an all-rounder. A shad with a length that would be suitable for both the polder fisherman and for the pike (perch) fisherman on the larger water. The (small) Paddle was born. And actually we also felt the need for a large Paddle, for the ladies on the big water.
With that approach came the first drawings and a few months later the prototypes were on the mat, And then ……………

Still, it kept gnawing at the team, as most of us like to fish on the big water. The Paddle ran brilliantly; so why not a larger version of this? It was decided to create a new model, the Giant Paddle.
This big, pot-bellied brother, should seduce the ladies of the big water better.
Not only was six centimeters in length added, but also the size increased a lot. This resulted in a shad of 23 cm and a weight of 98 grams. When we saw this piece of rubber we knew it immediately, a winner!
The Giant Paddle can be fished in several ways.
In the summer, when there are many plants, a shallow screw is a good option. The Giant Paddle is sold with the shallow screw already in the shad, so it does not have to be purchased. Like many other shads, a stinger has to be made yourself. We recommend the 50lbs coated wire from Rozemeijer (sleeve size 1.8) and two dredges in the size 2/0 (type Gamakatsu 13B).
If you want to fish the Giant Paddle a little deeper, you can of course look for lead heads in various weights.
Usually we keep 15 grams for casting fishing and 25 grams for trolling. Here our preference is also for screw lead heads and no longer the traditional lead head with jig hook.
